The winter has not ended in three years. The final evacuation train leaves Morrow Station at dawn on the fourteenth, and Tomas has a single blue pass folded in his coat. His daughter Ilse is nine. She thinks they both have one.
Walk them out of Harlow, down a highway of abandoned cars, past the scavengers holding Kessler Mill and across a river that will not bear a grown man's weight. Ilse is with you the whole way: she holds your hand, hides when you crouch, climbs where you cannot, and remembers what you tell her.
Every answer at the campfire, every stranger you help or walk past, every lie, changes how much she trusts you, and trust decides how the last morning goes. There are four endings. Everything you see and hear is generated in code.
